TT abbreviates Tool&Task
These two buttons are found in many forms under a grid. The first row of this grid shows check boxes. Despite the setting of these check boxes, they will all be checked if you press select all and unchecked if you press deselect all. If you right click on these to buttons, you can choose to automatically set or unset a certain number of rows or all from the active row on. Buttons like remove selected lines or in case there is not so much space remove sel. will only influence the rows where the initial check box is checked.
Doubleclick on an edit field
Will open the text displayed in the edit field in an other editor. Either the one you specified in the system settings or the FoxPro editor (if the text displayed should be FoxPro source). This behaviour has been added after version 1.40 and might not be activated for all edit fields. In case you miss it somewhere send us an e-mail.
Rightclick on a button or other form element
is used quite often. Try it out. Click outide the popup in case you want neither option. It closes the popup.
These arrows are only active, when the record of a table might be moved. Use them to navigate through the table
All the three icons produce screen-shots. The
Directory structure
Please install TT on your Computer in the directory C:\homer gmbh\tool&task\ or in any other directory but no below Program files. Windows 7 will tell you the the program might be reinstalled in an other directory after installation - please click Installation is ok. If you still want it under Program files you will have to answer quite a few screens of the do you really want type.
TT creates some directories under the installation directory:
<gttroot>\glossaries
<gttroot>\grafis
<gttroot>\hfiles
here are the TT tables
<gttroot>\sqlcommands
<gttroot>\temp some temporary files, those which are older than a day are deleted at shot down of TT.
Projects
Many programs within TT are connected to projects. You define them in the system settings and can connect each project to source code directories, an ODBC, an internet link and a directory on a FTP server. TT keeps track of these elements. Your advantage is, when you search a copy of a source on you computer which is actually running on a backbone somewhere in the world, you edit the lines you found with our search engine and afterwards send the file to this server via FTP with one mouse click.
Form Memory
The Forms keep track of special information like a directory you opened last time or setting of check boxes or option groups (table is forms.dbf in subdirectory hfiles). This file also keeps the size of the forms and there grids. This can cause a chaos, if you copy tool and task on an other screen - especially, when its resolution is lower. Right click on the yellow background enables you to reduce the screen size. |
